How to find us
From the south:Take the A75 exit off the M6/A74(M) at Gretna and head west (signposted Stranraer). Travel on A75 in westerly direction for about 70 miles, bypassing Dumfries, Castle Douglas, Gatehouse of fleet and Creetown.
About 2 miles past the second Creetown sign at the village of Palnure, turn right signposted to the Galloway Forest Park and Kirroughtree Visitor Centre. Travel about ½ mile ignoring the left turn to the Visitor Centre until you reach a small crossroads with old Forestry Commission signs. Turn left here along the narrow lane. As you go uphill you will see Cairnlea Cottage on your left (the first property).
If you have Sat Nav the post code is DG8 7BD but this will guide you to the crossroads near the visitor centre. Turn right and Cairnlea is on the right about 200yds uphill just past the farm yard.
From the north:Leave the A74(M) at junction 15 and head south on the A701 towards Dumfries. Upon approaching Dumfries, turn onto the A75 and head west towards Stranraer and follow the same directions as per above.
